Highlights: 1 Horned Grebe (Culvers Lake), 3 Wood Ducks, 8 American Wigeon, 2 Redheads (Culvers), 8 Bald Eagles, 1 RS Hawk, 2 Kestrels, 4 Killdeer, 2 Iceland Gulls (Lake Mohawk), 1 LBB Gull (Lake Mohawk), 2 Catbirds, 1 Chipping Sparrow, 120+ Snow Buntings (a count record).

Walnut Valley CBC highlights: 4 Cackling Geese, 1 Golden Eagle, 17 Bald Eagles, 1 Peregrine Falcon, 2 Merlins, 110 Horned Larks, 40 Snow Buntings, 4 Common Ravens, 1 RB Nuthatch, 1 N Shrike, 2 Catbirds, 1 Brown Thrasher, 1 Savannah Sparrow, 40 Fox Sparrows, 1 possible Laughing/Franklin's Gull. Fred Weber and Jack Padalino had a N Shrike about 150 yards south of the Calno School on Old Mine Rd. (roughly 3-4 miles south of Millbrook Village). On Culvers Lake (12/17) Fred had two Redhead Ducks & two Pied-billed Grebes.

Upper Delaware River area: An eagle trip led by Jack Padalino had 29 species including 20 Bald Eagles, 18 Red-tails, 2 Pileated WP, 24 E Bluebirds, 100 Cedar WW, 6 Ravens, Fox Sparrow. Several Vespers, Savannahs & White-crowns continue along the trail at the south end of Twin Lakes. About 30 Rusty BB were at White Pond along the Sussex Branch Trail.

Mt Arlington: At the old landfill, Steve Fasciana had 3 Vesper Sparrows along with Song, Swamp, Chipping, Field & White-throats. Also: E Towhee, Palm Warbler, Pileated WP, Phoebe, Catbird, Swainson's Thrush & RC Kinglets. Last week Lincoln's and Savannah Sparrows were present there along with an Am. Pipit. The landfill is a short walk from the end of Southard Rd. (DeLorme 24, K9)

At Sunrise Mtn: 676 BW Hawks, 24 Sharpies, 5 Coops, 10 Ospreys, 5 Bald Eagles & 2 Kestrels. A Bay-breasted Warbler was with a flock of songbirds there also.

Bald Eagle and 1 BW Hawk. Five bears were seen and two coyotes were heard.

Fredon Twp: Wade & Sharon Wander report that about 350 Snow Geese are in the corn stubble at the Crisman Farm on Fairview Hill Rd, about ¼ mile in from Rt 94. They had an Eastern Towhee along Rt 521 just north of White Lake in Hardwick. RS Hawks were visible on Maple Lane in Blairstown. A pair of Bald Eagles were perched on the north bank of the Paulins Kill on Paulins Kill Rd on the border of Blairstown & Frelinghuysen. Kingfisher & C. Mergs were there also. They had 3 Fox Sparrows, a sapsucker and an adult sharpie at their feeders in Fredon.
